As part of your Flight Examination whilst doing your GVC Drone Course, you will need to demonstrate that you can fly your drone competently. Iprosurv will not supply a drone on the day however we can supply a tailored package or advice about the suitable drone to purchase if required. Remember you may need time to practice the flight maneuvers required on the flight assessment
The practical flight assessment is designed to test you, not only on manoeuvres but on your own understanding of your operations manual and such will be tested against this. There will be some basic manoeuvres to be carried out during the assessment to assess control and operational procedures. These will all be discussed with you prior to the flight assessment. If you require flight tuition, we can provide this prior to the course, just ask your assessor.

You will have 12 months to complete the practical examination after passing the theory. If you don't book and pass your examination before the 12 month period has ended, you will be required to re-take your GVC theory examination to ensure that you are still up to date and competent in the theoretical knowledge. There may also be an additional charge for this?
The online theory exam will be taken over Microsoft teams, this will be arranged by your assessor, and logon links, etc be supplied to you prior to the exam.
Whilst here at Iprosurv we have developed packages that suit all learners and therefore achieve a high success rate, it's not always the case, we all have off days, and whilst we do not like to see any of our students fail the theory exam it sometimes happens. Therefore there is a free re-sit of the theory exam, there must be a 24-hour period in between the exams.

At the moment we offer practical flight tests in the following locations Sheffield, Portsmouth, and Bristol, however, we are adding to this list continuously, so please ask your assessor prior to the flight assessment.
However, if you choose the mapping bundle the flight test is done in Sheffield as part of the mapping training involves mapping a multi-story vertical structure where our offices are located.
Yes there is a payment plan on this course to help spread the cost. The final exam and flight test will not be able to be booked until the full amount of the course has been paid. However, students may need the time in between to practice flight manouvers or complete Ops manuals.
